Canada - Provisional Nominee Program

Visa Description

The Provisional Nominee Program consists of Canada's 13 provinces and territories who all independently operate their own immigration programs, which are specifically tailored towards their own economic and demographic needs. The eligibility criteria of each province varies from one to the other. To determine immigration eligibility, applicants must consult each province that is part of the PNP:

  • Alberta
  • British Columbia
  • Manitoba
  • New Brunswick
  • Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Northwest Territories
  • Nova Scotia
  • Ontario
  • Prince Edward Island
  • Quebec
  • Saskatchewan
  • Yukon

The Provisional Nominee Program is a popular option, speeding up the process to becoming a permanent Canadian resident.

Visa Notes

To apply under this scheme, you must first decide which province you would like to live in, then apply to that province for nomination.

Your application will be reviewed based upon:

  • Your immigration needs
  • If you plan to stay

After a province or territory nominates you, you must apply for permanent residence. We’ll assess your application based on Canadian immigration law.
